Irish Young European Entrepreneur of the Year 2007

Aodhan Cullen (24) won the ‘Top Under 25 European Entrepreneur’ from US magazine Business Week, as the best of 20 nominee’s for the prize.

Aodhan founded the company during 1999 at the youthful age of 16.  StatCounter provide free website traffic statistics to website owners and managers globally.  They have over 1.4 million members, almost half of them are located in the United States. Customers get reports on the number of hits their website gets, where they are arriving from, which pages they visit and what search engines and terms are used to find the site.  More advanced services are available for a fee.

StatCounter established headquarters in Dublin’s Guinness Enterprise Centre.  Their site was named as one of the most visited sites in the US, beating out sites from firms such as Apple, Adobe, Dell and Expedia.com.  Currently in the US, the analytics market is valued in excess of USD400 million and is expected to double in size by 2008.
