A report from mobile services company Digital Reach Group estimates that there are 250,000 iPhones active on Irish networks as of April 2010. The iPhone is the most popular smartphone in the Irish market, followed by Nokia’s E and N series and Blackberry’s 8000 series. The figures are based a detailed analysis of mobile web traffic via its advertising network Adforce. The report also mentions the emergence of Android based smartphones such as the HTC Hero, which has been on offer from Meteor since late 2009.
