After seeing a solid dip in overall spam levels in 2008 due to several high profile arrests, there has recently been a global resurgence with the re-emergence of new spam operators.

MessageLabs said it had tracked a 10% increase in spam over the course of April 2009, and according to the latest MessageLab Intelligence Report, spam levels in April rose above the 85% mark for the first time in 19 months. 

eTailor's spam filters are constantly being monitored and configured to ward off each new wave of spam traffic, and as this new threat is fully analysed and understood, the spam filters will become even more effective against this new influx.
